Privacy Policy

What we store, why, and what we never collect. Pair with Permissions for grant language.

1. Controller

Yearnkeep operates yearnkeep.com and the Yearnkeep iOS app. Contact: support@yearnkeep.com

2. On your device (app)

• Story progress, heat, captions, accessibility preferences
• Keepsakes encountered
• Consent versions and timestamps you accepted
• Optional secure storage of short-lived content tokens after purchase verification

3. Website

• If you join the waitlist: email address you submit (for launch notices only until you opt out)
• If you save the permissions acknowledgment: a local browser record (localStorage) of policy version and time — not sent to a server until a backend is wired
• Standard hosting logs (IP, user agent) from the CDN/host as needed for security

4. Optional metrics (app)

Default off. If enabled: privacy-safe events without message bodies, phone numbers, names, audio, or purchase tokens.

5. Optional carrier SMS

Only after separate double opt-in: verified phone number held encrypted server-side while consent is active; template-only sends; STOP/HELP; quiet hours via timezone (not GPS). Revocation deletes active use of the number per the messaging design.

6. Purchases

Apple processes payment. We verify signed transactions server-side to unlock the complete story pack. We do not store full card numbers.

7. What we do not do

• Sell personal data for unrelated marketing
• Read device contacts, microphone, or camera
• Generate character dialogue with a live AI model at runtime
• Email you as Julian or any character

8. Retention & deletion

Local app data can be erased in Settings. Waitlist email removal: contact Support. Server SMS consent ends on STOP or in-app revoke.

9. Children

Not directed to children under 16.

10. Changes

Material changes will update the policy version shown in onboarding.
